Our federal government’s failure to secure our southern border has had deadly consequences for the people of Bexar County and I’m absolutely sick of it.
Joe Biden and members of both parties have failed to secure our border for decades. The results? Higher crime, human trafficking, and dangerous drugs like fentanyl on our streets right here in Bexar County.
Meanwhile, Bexar County Sheriff Salazar filed criminal charges against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for sending illegal immigrants from San Antonio to Martha’s Vineyard to bust the bubble of northeastern Limousine Liberals and force them to confront the chaos on our border.
Our county has been absolutely overwhelmed by the crush of people flooding across our border and our sheriff, and his enablers on the Commissioners Court, are more concerned with charging Republicans with trumped-up crimes than protecting us.
As your next County Commissioner, I’m going to fight to hold our Sheriff and District Attorney accountable for these failures. I’m going to use every tool at my disposal to shine a light on this crisis. And I’m not going to stop until you, your family, and your property are safe from this invasion.
The top two law enforcement offices in Bexar County are held by Democrats—and it shows. The decline of our quality of life and the safety of our communities is a choice and it’s time we chose law, order, and public safety.
District Attorney Joe Gonzales and Sheriff Javier Salazar, both Democrats, are endangering the lives and livelihoods of every resident of Bexar County.
Thousands of criminal cases remain unindicted by “Let-‘Em-Go” Joe, leaving countless victims and their families to wait and hope that one-day justice will be served.
And we’re not just talking about petty thefts and other low-level offenses…Joe Gonzales has murder cases in front of him that he has refused to move forward. It’s time someone stood up to this George Soros-funded failure, and our current county commissioner has shown he’s not up for the job.
Sheriff Salazar is more concerned with headline-seeking and conspiring with the Governor of California to trump-up charges against Republican officeholders than he is with protecting us from the growing criminal element in our county.
When elected to serve you, I’ll do everything in my power to hold them accountable and force change in their departments. The Commissioners Court controls the purse strings for the Sheriff and District Attorney, and it’s time you had someone in office willing to exercise that power to protect each of us.
Bexar County is addicted to your property taxes and has for too-long abused the hardworking people and businesses that make this place so special.
The Commissioners Court just passed next year’s budget and what was a shock to absolutely no one, it raised 11% more revenue from property taxpayers than the previous year.
Our current county commissioner, the lone “Republican” on the court, voted with the Democrats on this gluttonous ~$3 billion budget. He and his Democrat allies will claim they didn’t raise your tax rate, but we know that when our property values continually increase, they don’t have to! With rising property values, elected officials must cut the rate or it becomes a de facto tax raise, and that is exactly what has happened.
I’m tired of the games our politicians are playing. You aren’t a piggybank.
The county raised your property values by over $16 billion this year and your property taxes by tens of millions… and they’re doing it with a smile on their face. When elected, I’m ready to be your voice on the Commissioners Court and be a true advocate for the Bexar County taxpayer.
Within 10 months on the job, our current “Republican” county commissioner has voted to increase his pay not once,
but twice—netting him a 17% raise and a new salary of $157,500 a year for a part-time government job.
I’m running to work for you—not for you to work for me!
“Republican” used to mean something. It used to mean putting the people first. It used to mean self-sacrifice and small government. It used to mean setting an example of leadership.
Our current county commissioner hasn’t been on the job for a year and he’s voted to increase his salary twice. As a business owner and employer, I would have to create millions of dollars in new wealth for other people in order to increase my take-home pay by 17%.
As your next county commissioner, I will work every day for you. I will not treat your hard-earned tax dollars like my own personal expense account.
I am tired of losing to Houston and Austin for new jobs, new capital investments,
and new opportunities for the good people of Bexar County.
Our county leaders don’t get it. As a business owner, I have people and their families that depend on me every day. I know that strong families make strong neighborhoods and strong neighborhoods make strong communities and strong communities make a strong county.
And that all begins with the dignity of a hard day’s work and a well-paying job.
I will be an aggressive advocate for economic growth and prosperity in our county, working to attract the biggest and most transformative opportunities for the people who already live here, not the people our current leaders “hope” will move here.
When elected, I will always lean into my core value that economic freedom and prosperity create stability and safety. Capitalism is the tide that lifts all boats.
When our lone “Republican” county commissioner Grant Moody is too scared or too weak to prosecute the case for our values and principles, and votes over 98% of the time with Democrats, it’s no wonder we can’t win a countywide election.
Bexar County is dominated today by the Democrats because Republicans have not had a standard-bearer on the Commissioners Court who is willing to take them and show voters that our policies will make them wealthier and safer.
With your support, I will leverage the Republican’s lone seat on the Commissioners Court to lead a conservative revolution in Bexar County. Democrats have led Bexar County in the wrong direction for too long and it is time that residents understood that poverty, crime, and decline are symptoms of their current leadership.
We won’t get there with go-along-to-get-along Republicans. We need bold, unapologetic conservative leadership. When elected, you can count on me.
